Warriors from Rafenstain turns home again

As guests on castle Runkelstein for the medieval week- the founder is born in Bozen.

Bozen- Charles Jones was born in Bozen and now lives in Denmark. He returns to his hometown for a few days along with his group "Miles Rafenstain et servitus".

The medieval center in Nykøbing Falster is planning a future cooperation together with the institute for castles in Bozen. Charles has founded the medieval reenactment group in Denmark called Miles Rafenstain et Servitus, build around the history of castle Rafenstain here in Bozen and especially the historic person Knight Francisk von Rafenstain that lived between 1330 and 1389.
The aim of this group is to reconstruct the life of that period with all local nuances via use of archaelogical and historical researches. This is better known as experimental archaelology. The cultural exchange among the two nations is of big importance for the historic research developement in Bozen. The medieval reenactment group can be visited the coming week on castle Runkelstein and offers different shows.

Restauration is a pressing issue.

The reenactment group from Denmark decided to execute a symbolic march in medieval clothes on tuesday the 16th Oktober from castle Runkelstein to the neigbour castle ruin of Rafenstain in order to bring focus on the extreme bad condition of the ruin.
