Thanks to Flemming from the music group Moria for donating this wonderful drum to our group! The drum has been repainted and decorated with tempera colors, finally glossed with Dammar gloss. The motive is inspired from a 1300 painting, changed to show Katrine von Goldeck, the beloved wife of Sir Francisk. She holds the coat of arms of Rafenstain and Goldeck. The last mentioned has actually been taken over by Jenesien commune, South Tyrol, some hundred years later and is still in use today.
The drum will be used by our musicians along with all the other instruments. A reenactment event with medieval music gives just so much more mood!
